St George is the Patron Saint of Scouting, and every year, Scouts across the UK come together to celebrate his legacy and the values he represents — courage, determination, and doing your best.
In Pennine Scouts, St George's Day is a special occasion. It's the one day each year when all 23 Scout Groups across the district come together to celebrate our shared commitment to Scouting. It's a vibrant gathering filled with tradition, celebration, and community spirit.
The event is not only about marking the day with ceremonies and promises but also about showcasing the incredible work and talents of young people and volunteers from every corner of the district. Through parades, activities, and awards, we demonstrate the power of unity, diversity, and the fun of being a Scout.
St George's Day reminds us that while each group may have its own identity and activities, we are all part of something much bigger — a global movement that empowers young people with skills for life.
